Caribbean Sea – On November 28, 2025, U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier IIs from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 263 (Reinforced), 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), flew in tight formation during flight operations aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) while underway in the Caribbean Sea.
The aircraft soared over the waves, demonstrating rapid deployment and precise coordination in demanding maritime conditions.
These missions are part of a U.S. military presence in the Caribbean to support U.S. Southern Command operations, Department of War-directed objectives, and the president’s priorities to disrupt illicit drug trafficking and safeguard the homeland.
