Rivoli Veronese, VR, Italy – On December 28, 2025, at 2 PM, provincial police requested the assistance of the Bardolino fire station and the regional helicopter unit of the Veneto Fire Department to rescue a wild goat in distress.

The animal had become trapped by its legs in an old rope on a disused rock climbing area in Tessari, Rivoli Veronese. The location was inaccessible from above due to dense vegetation and could not be reached from nearby areas because of the lack of roads or trails.

Helicopter Drago 149 spotted the wild goat from the air and lowered two rescue personnel to reach it. Once freed, the animal ran safely back into the wild.

The rescue operation was completed in under two hours, and the rescuers expressed unanimous satisfaction at the successful outcome.
