Israel – In a joint operation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet neutralized Hassin Mahmoud Marshad Al-Jouhari, a senior operative in the Quds Force’s Unit 840, in the Nazariya area of Lebanon earlier today.

Al-Jouhari had been involved in planning and promoting terrorist operations against Israel in the Syria-Lebanon arena in recent years. He operated under the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and was linked to Iran-directed attacks targeting Israel and its security forces.

Unit 840, the operational wing of the Quds Force led by Esher Bakri and his deputy Mohammad Reza Ansari, is responsible for directing and coordinating Iranian terrorist activity against Israel.

The IDF and Shin Bet emphasized that they regard any attempts by the Iranian regime or its proxies to advance terrorist operations with utmost seriousness and will continue taking action to eliminate threats to Israel.
