Rochester, N.Y. – Two men were arrested Saturday after their botched snowblower theft turned into a chaotic spectacle.
The thieves tried to steal five snowblowers from a Lowe’s but couldn’t fit them all in their pickup. Attempting to drag the rest down West Ridge Road, sparks flew as one suspect even fell out of the truck.
Video shows two snowblowers in the truck bed while three were dragged along the street, still connected by a locking cable. Their “plan” failed spectacularly.
The suspects, 33-year-old Nicholas Morales and 39-year-old Joshua Christ, were charged with third-degree grand larceny. All five snowblowers were recovered.
