Arvada, Colorado – On December 17, 2025, strong wind gusts caused a large object, possibly a cattle trough, to fly across busy Highway 93, prompting a temporary closure.
The Arvada Police Department shared a dashcam clip showing the incident, highlighting the dangers posed by flying debris during high winds.
An official statement read: “We know highway closures are frustrating. But this officer’s dashcam clip shows exactly why Highway 93 was closed today. We appreciate everyone’s patience. We’d much rather deal with some frustration than a serious crash that could have been prevented.”
The footage underscores the importance of caution during severe weather and the rapid response of local authorities to protect public safety.
