Holiday Lifeline Falls From The Sky Over Remote Pacific Islands

Federated States of Micronesia, North Pacific Ocean – The 374th Air Expeditionary Wing carried out aerial supply drops over remote islands in the Federated States of Micronesia on Dec. 10, 2025, as part of Operation Christmas Drop.

Bundles of humanitarian supplies were released to isolated island locations across the North Pacific during the mission. Operation Christmas Drop is a multinational effort operating within a single region and highlights complex logistical coordination and cooperation between multiple agencies.

The operation also included visits by observers and distinguished guests, demonstrating how participating nations work together to execute an extensive humanitarian airlift mission.

On the same day, Flight Santa 41 delivered boxes of humanitarian aid during Operation Christmas Drop 2025 over the Federated States of Micronesia in the Indo-Pacific region.

Aircrews conducted airdrops to supply essential goods to 59 remote areas. The long-running humanitarian mission underscores how operational readiness and resilience can also bring relief and joy to isolated communities.
