Grinch Inflatable Swings Wildly Amid High Winds In Castle Rock

Castle Rock, Colorado – A video filmed on the night of December 17-18, 2025 captures a large inflatable Grinch, dressed in a Santa suit, thrashing violently in strong winds outside a home in Castle Rock.

The Grinch, designed to hang upside down from a garage roofline as part of a popular holiday display style, swung wildly due to sudden gusts. Built-in lights illuminated the inflatable as it moved, while red Christmas string lights lined the roof.

X user Keith Schneider, who filmed the scene, noted that most other inflatables in the area were tied down securely, adding hope that “the Grinch hangs on” through the storm.

The video shows no damage or danger, only dramatic holiday chaos. Comments on the post joked about the Grinch facing “extreme” punishment from the wind, highlighting the fun, harmless nature of the moment.

This incident demonstrates the precarious appeal of commercially available hanging Grinch inflatables, designed to look mischievously dangling.
