Barcelona, Spain – A short video shared on X by user Victor shows intense urban flash flooding at night in the La Pau neighborhood of Barcelona on December 16, 2025.

The footage, recorded from inside a vehicle, captures a street intersection overwhelmed by heavy rain. Fast moving floodwater covers the roadway, reaching from ankle to knee height and forming strong currents and visible waves across the street.

Several cars move slowly through the water, their headlights reflecting off the flooded surface. Other drivers are seen turning around or mounting the sidewalk to avoid deeper sections of the road.

Streetlights and traffic signals illuminate the scene, revealing a bus stop shelter, nearby trees, and ongoing rainfall. No pedestrians appear in the video.
