King County – The King County Sheriff’s Office reported another incident showing a deputy going beyond routine duty during dangerous flood conditions.

A man became trapped on the roof of his vehicle as floodwaters surged through the Snoqualmie River.

Using a drone, a deputy delivered a lifejacket to the stranded man, providing critical help while he remained surrounded by water.

A helicopter from NAS Whidbey Island later hoisted the man to safety.

The sheriff’s office said the moment demonstrated, in real time, how the deputy’s actions helped save a life.
