Sumas, Washington – An MH-60 Jayhawk crew from Coast Guard Air Station Astoria hoisted two people from the roof of a flooded home on Dec. 11, 2025.

The team responded amid catastrophic flooding in northwestern Washington and conducted the rooftop rescue under challenging conditions.

After the hoist, the crew moved the survivors to a nearby landing zone where emergency medical services took over their care.
