Roma – As every year, firefighters placed a wreath of flowers at dawn at the statue of the Virgin Mary in Piazza di Spagna.

The gesture was carried out by section chief Roberto Leo, the most senior member of the Rome Fire Brigade Command.

He was lifted 27 meters on the ladder truck to place the wreath at the statue.
