Record Early Snow Burst Slams Louisville Overnight

Louisville, Kentucky – A video filmed by X user James Distler (@JamesDistler15) shows a powerful burst of heavy snowfall hitting the city around 2:00 AM on December 2, 2025.

The footage captures the first wave of a fast-moving winter storm that dropped 2–4 inches across the metro area and broke early-season records. Thick snow falls straight down in a dense white curtain, lit by a warm golden streetlamp that turns the scene into a glowing snow globe.

Snow builds quickly into soft drifts already 1–2 inches deep along a plowed asphalt path or parking lot. Wet pavement glistens through the flakes as accumulation grows visibly in real time.

A small A-frame building with a steep roof and wooden siding sits on the left, dusted white and glowing faintly with blue exterior lights. Bare trees and snow-laden evergreens frame the background, adding to the quiet winter atmosphere.
