Industrial Inferno Sends Towering Smoke Over Southall

Southall, West London, UK – A short vertical video filmed by X user Anya shows an intense industrial fire raging across low-rise buildings in Southall, captured from a nearby elevated viewpoint overlooking the scene.

The 4.5-second smartphone clip reveals thick black smoke pouring into the sky from several interconnected warehouse-style units with flat roofs and corrugated metal siding. Bright orange and yellow flames race over rooftops and along the sides of the structures in hazy late morning or early afternoon daylight.

The blaze appears to span at least two neighboring units, with smoke drifting east and obscuring parts of the horizon. Viewers can see shipping containers, including a green unit with faded text that looks like it may read “PENTEX”, as well as chain-link fencing, parked vans and trucks, bare winter trees, and distant high-rise apartment blocks under a pale blue-gray sky.

Small bursts or pops can be seen and heard in the fire, which replies under the post suggest could be linked to materials such as chemicals or fireworks stored inside. No firefighters or emergency vehicles are visible in the frame, though replies state that fire crews and police are at the scene and finding it difficult to bring the blaze under control.
