The work took place in San Diego, California, as part of ongoing border security operations. The posts are being used to support the deployment of concertina wire barriers.
According to officials, Joint Task Force–Southern Border carries out full-scale, agile, all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
These operations are intended to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and to achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
