Sakurajima, Japan – On November 19, 2025, at 18:14 local time (JPT), Sakurajima produced an explosive eruption.

The blast sent a smoke plume rising to a height of 1,600 meters above the crater.

According to the reported tally, this explosion marked the 156th explosive eruption at Sakurajima so far this year.
