Snohomish County, WA – On November 13, Sgt. Houghtaling, MPD Byrd, and Deputy Soule responded to a call initially reported as an assault with a weapon in the 15900 block of SR-2.
The caller said a Ford F-150 was ramming the back of an SUV, causing the tires to burn and eventually catch fire.
When deputies arrived, they quickly realized the driver of the F-150 was actually suffering a medical emergency and urgently needed help.
The back of the truck was already engulfed in flames, putting the driver in serious danger.
Deputies used fire extinguishers to slow the spread of the fire while carefully removing the driver from the vehicle.
They moved him to safety and stayed with him, providing support until fire personnel arrived and took over medical care.
