Valverde de los Arroyos, Spain – Around 15:00 on November 11th, a GREIM unit based in Navacerrada rescued a 65-year-old man on the summit of Pico Ocejon, at an elevation of 2,046 meters, after he suffered a sudden indisposition described as a possible beginning of a heart attack.
The man was on the peak with companions from a mountain group based in Madrid when he became unwell at the top of the mountain.
Rescuers airlifted him by helicopter from the summit and transported him to the Hospital General Universitario de Guadalajara for medical attention.
