Celestial Storm Ignites Sky Over Becker

Becker, Minnesota – Video filmed by X user @golfman420365 shows the Northern Lights, or aurora borealis, glowing above Becker on November 12, 2025, during a severe geomagnetic storm triggered by a powerful solar flare and coronal mass ejection.

This phenomenon is part of a wider event in which auroras appeared across much of the United States, stretching unusually far south as charged particles raced toward Earth at speeds reaching 4 million mph.

In the footage, the sky fills with colorful streaks and shifting waves, visible mainly through long exposure photography because they were faint to the naked eye.

The geomagnetic storm, classified as G4 (severe), produced rare sightings in regions like Minnesota, pushing the auroras far beyond their typical visibility range.
