Monte Cucco, Italy – A hang-glider pilot was rescued after becoming trapped on a beech tree 30 meters above the ground near the Monte Cucco launch area.
The rescue, which ended successfully yesterday evening, involved firefighters from Gubbio and Perugia, supported by the Speleo Alpino Fluviale team.
Additional reinforcements arrived from Ancona and Fabriano to assist in the operation.
The pilot was safely recovered and handed over to medical personnel for care following the incident.
