Heroic Rescue Saves Deer Trapped In Canal Of Cuenca Nature Park

Cuenca, Spain – The Seprona unit of the Guardia Civil in Cuenca carried out a daring rescue after a male deer became trapped in a canal within the Serranía de Cuenca Natural Park.

The operation began when several citizens alerted authorities that the animal was stuck and could not escape. At the time, the water level was high enough to threaten the deer’s exhaustion.

Officers on site faced difficult terrain and the canal’s structure, making the rescue challenging. They carefully secured a rope around the deer’s antler and one of its front legs.

With extreme caution, the team lifted the deer to safety, successfully freeing the animal without injury. The rescue demonstrates Seprona’s dedication to protecting wildlife in distress.
