Kinney County, Texas – October 19, 2025 – Just after 9:00 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Border Mounted Patrol Unit, assisted by K-9 Arya and her handler, responded to a Drawbridge camera activation on a private ranch in Kinney County.

Troopers, with K-9 Arya, tracked and located a male subject hiding in dense brush. The individual, identified as 52-year-old Adan Delgado-Ortega from Mexico, was taken into custody.

Further investigation revealed Delgado-Ortega is a previously deported felon with multiple removals dating back to 1998. His criminal record includes convictions for assault family violence, weapons charges, evading arrest, and drug possession. He was last removed from the United States in August 2025 by ICE and Enforcement and Removal Operations in Oklahoma City.

After his arrest, DPS turned Delgado-Ortega over to Border Patrol for further processing.
