Gaza – Israel Defense Forces troops have started marking the Yellow Line in Gaza to establish tactical clarity on the ground.
As part of the ceasefire agreement and following directives from the political echelon, the marking involves placing concrete barriers approximately every 200 meters. Each barrier is topped with a pole standing 3.5 meters high. The marking process will continue in the coming period.
Video footage from inside a moving IDF vehicle shows engineering troops using a yellow Caterpillar excavator to position tall yellow concrete barriers along sandy desert tracks. The barriers are spaced roughly 200 meters apart under sunset skies. Hydraulic sounds and engine rumbles dominate the scene, with no personnel visible.
The official IDF post stated the markings are intended to enhance security following the ceasefire. Reactions from the public have been mixed, ranging from support to criticism.
