International Space Station – NASA astronaut Don Pettit captured an extraordinary view of about 50 Starlink satellites gliding through the void in a seamless formation.

In the footage, the satellites appear as a luminous chain of evenly spaced lights crossing from the upper left to the lower right of the frame, creating a hypnotic trail against the dark expanse of space.

Below the procession, Earth’s curved edge radiates with intense purple and green layers of atmosphere. Thin emerald streaks of aurora stretch horizontally, adding depth to the glowing horizon.

Dim clusters of city lights glimmer faintly on the planet’s surface beneath the orbiting lights, completing a scene of surreal beauty.

Don Pettit described the sight as his most remarkable observation of this kind from space.
