Volusia County – Richard Kieffer, 14, was arrested and charged with a felony after making a school threat.

The Pine Ridge High School student was involved in an Instagram chat where a recent threat to Deltona Middle School was being discussed. During the conversation, he posted messages threatening to shoot up the school.

Word of Kieffer’s posts spread quickly among students and parents, causing alarm and major disruption at the school.
