New York City Honors Fallen First Responders On 9/11 Anniversary

New York City, USA – The NYPD commemorates September 11, 2001, as one of the nation’s darkest days, remembering the bravery of the city’s first responders.

On that day, the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) lost 343 members, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) lost 37, and the NYPD lost 23 officers.

In addition to those who perished, many others continue to suffer from illnesses related to the events of 9/11.

The department emphasized the enduring legacy of courage and sacrifice, declaring: “We will NeverForget.”
