Minneapolis, USA – Video recorded by X user Reaper shows a huge blaze tearing through northeast Minneapolis on September 7, 2025, around 4:13 a.m.
The footage reveals intense flames and thick smoke rising high into the sky, visible from a distance.
The fire broke out on the 1500 block of Central Avenue Northeast and caused several buildings to collapse.
Reaper wrote: “MASSIVE FIRE NORTHEAST MINNEAPOLIS CURRENTLY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW.”
The Minneapolis Fire Department encountered major difficulties reaching the scene because of blocked access points, including discarded tires, locked gates, and a railway bridge.
Fire crews also faced problems with low water pressure from some hydrants while battling the flames.
Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported, but the destruction was extensive.
This fire adds to a troubling history of large-scale blazes in the area, including arson damage during the 2020 George Floyd protests.
The cause of the latest fire remains under investigation.
