Boat Pulls Man From Car As Flooded Street Turns Into River In Holmen

Holmen, Wisconsin – On June 26, heavy rains flooded streets in Holmen, turning roads into rivers and prompting an unusual rescue.

A video shows a man in a boat picking up another man from a vehicle stranded on a flooded street.

The incident happened at the intersection of Ryan Street and Starlite Drive, where water covered the roadway.

The Holmen Police Department confirmed street flooding across the village due to the rain.

They warned drivers to avoid high water, joking, “unless your car floats, or you’ve made prior arrangements with your kayak-owning friend Dave.”

“Stay dry, stay safe,” the department added.
