Jacksonville Florida – A boat stranded on the shore at Hanna Park caused concern, but the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office acted fast to handle the unusual situation.

Officer Stillwell and the JSO Marine Unit quickly arrived at the scene. They wasted no time getting the beached boat off the sand and safely back into the water.

A stranded boat can be dangerous for beachgoers and costly for its owner. The officers made sure neither risk became a problem.

As boating season heats up, the JSO reminds boaters to carry safety equipment, wear sunscreen, and stay hydrated.

After a day on the water, boaters should fully secure their vessels to avoid becoming the next rescue case.
