Athens, Alabama – On May 20, X user Andrew Gwin recorded a dramatic video of a tornado just east of Athens.

The footage was taken at 6:20 PM Central Time along Newby Road.

Gwin posted the video shortly after capturing it, describing the tornado’s location and timing.

The video shows the powerful funnel cloud forming near the ground as it moves across the area.
