U.S. Forces Strike Suspected Narco-Trafficking Boat In Caribbean Sea

Caribbean Sea – A small fast-moving boat erupts in a fireball after being struck by U.S. forces on October 4 along what the military described as an established narco-trafficking route.

The nine-second footage released by U.S. Southern Command shows a projectile closing in on the vessel as it travels across the water. The boat is engulfed in a large explosion, with no survivors shown.

Southern Command said Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere carried out the strike after what it described as confirmed intelligence of active narco-trafficking.

The command said four people it identified as narco-terrorists were killed in the strike. It did not release their names, identify a cartel or provide evidence of drugs being carried aboard the vessel.

The strike was part of the U.S. military’s ongoing operation in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific against suspected narco-trafficking vessels.
