Cargo Drone Drops Food And Water To Residents Trapped By Bangkok Floods

Bangkok, Thailand – A cargo drone delivers food and drinking water to residents trapped by severe flooding in eastern Bangkok.

Aerial footage shows rescue boats navigating flooded alleys between shops and apartment buildings, with cars partly submerged in the water.

The camera then looks down on rooftops where residents wait beside laundry lines and satellite dishes. A DJI FlyCart 30 cargo drone lowers green and orange bags of food and water onto one rooftop, where soldiers and civilians unload the supplies before sending the drone back into the air.

The Royal Thai Army said its drone unit surveyed standing water more than 50 centimeters deep in the Khlong Chan community and found people still trapped inside Building 22.

A DJI Matrice 4T was used to map the flooded area before the larger cargo drone delivered the emergency supplies.

The delivery was part of a wider army deployment involving more than 4,000 personnel after days of flooding across eastern Bangkok. Khlong Chan and nearby Rom Klao remained among the hardest-hit areas.
