Seven Dogs Trapped In Kitchen Rescued From Burning Parkland Home

Parkland, Florida – Five puppies and their parents were trapped inside a kitchen playpen during a house fire on June 19, 2026, after the main doors were blocked.

BSO Deputies Moses Arce and Hayden Stachura were the first to arrive at the home. Deputies, Coral Springs firefighters and the homeowner worked together to get all seven dogs out.

The dogs were placed in a laundry basket and carried from the burning home. None of the animals were injured.

The family was displaced while repairs were carried out.

Parkland commissioners later honored the two deputies. One of the rescued puppies, Bailey, appeared at the August 19 meeting.

The bodycam footage captures the rescue as flames and smoke pour from the home’s arched entry.
