Wildfire Forces Evacuations Across Huesca As Flames Rage Through Mountain Slopes

Huesca, Spain – The Peñas de Riglos wildfire has triggered evacuations, confinements and road closures as intense flames spread across dark mountain ridges.

Evacuations are active in Villalangua, Salinas de Jaca, Ena, Centenero, Arbués, Bailo, Alastuey and Larués. Residents in Santa Cilia and Binacua have been ordered to remain confined.

Thirty-seven people were evacuated from Botaya, while another 100 were evacuated from Camping Pirineos in Santa Cilia.

Several roads have also been closed, including the A-132 between Murillo de Gállego and Bailo, the A-1205 between Triste and Santa María la Peña, and the N-240 between kilometers 297 and 303.

Nighttime footage shows Guardia Civil personnel near a road as the wildfire burns across the surrounding hills. Bright fire lines stretch along the ridges beneath thick smoke.

Other scenes show flames climbing steep, tree-covered slopes, while a thermal image highlights areas of intense heat across the terrain.

Authorities are urging people to exercise extreme caution and follow official instructions.
