Mass Shooting At Idaho In-N-Out Burger Leaves Three Dead

Twin Falls, ID – Police released video Friday showing the mass shooting at an Idaho In-N-Out Burger restaurant last weekend that killed three people.

The footage shows the gunman walking to the drive-thru window four times and opening fire, killing an In-N-Out employee, police said. Ten people were shot inside the restaurant, directly outside, on a nearby busy road and at a car-charging station in a Twin Falls visitor center lot.

Police said at least three people confronted the gunman with their own weapons during the incident.

An unarmed employee from a nearby store also encountered the gunman outdoors, engaging him and slowing him down as authorities approached.

The eight-and-a-half-minute compilation of surveillance and bodycam footage was edited to blur faces and omit graphic images.

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said the incident was “violent, frightening and deeply traumatic.”

Investigators still have no known motive. The gunman, identified as 24-year-old Chad Williams, died by suicide as police caught up with him on a nearby walking trail. His body was found near a canyon.

The video shows employees from nearby stores fleeing toward the trail. When Williams reached the area, he encountered two people, including one who spoke to him while holding his hands in the air. Police said the interaction distracted him from possibly pursuing others on the trail.
