Zapopan, Guadalajara, Mexico – X user LRC filmed video showing heavily flooded streets along Avenida López Mateos in La Calma after heavy rains on August 4, 2026.

The footage shows deep, fast-moving water covering the road near Office Depot. A red car sits partially submerged in the foreground beside a large tree, while green public buses push through the flooding, creating large waves and splashes.

Other vehicles, including a dark pickup truck, are also seen driving through the deep water under an overcast sky with trees lining both sides of the road.

Heavy afternoon and evening rains caused flooding in the lateral lanes of Avenida López Mateos. Water levels reached 50 to 90 centimeters in some areas.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area until water levels dropped.
