Washington Terrace, Utah – Intense orange flames and thick smoke race uphill toward a residential backyard as the Adams Fire burns through dry grass and brush on July 27, 2026.

Video filmed by Utah Fire Info shows the fire front advancing toward homes, with a swimming pool and blue pickleball and tennis courts visible in the foreground beneath hazy skies.

The Adams Fire burned approximately 45 acres and was 10% contained. Evacuation orders were lifted for most residents, while the lower area south of 5700 South, Combe Way, remained under an evacuation order.

Two people were injured, and one resident later died from severe burns. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
