Fethiye, Muğla, Turkey – Turkish forestry teams are battling a wildfire that started outside forested areas in Fethiye. A large response is underway with 5 aircraft, 14 helicopters, 54 water trucks, 3 pieces of heavy machinery, and 347 personnel working to bring the blaze under control as quickly as possible.

The aerial video shows a white firefighting aircraft flying low over steep, densely forested hills as thick gray-white smoke rises from the active fire. The aircraft banks before releasing water or retardant directly onto the burning slopes.

Later footage, filmed from inside the cockpit, shows the aircraft’s wing and fuselage as it continues making drops through heavy smoke above the green hillside.
