Philippines – A phreatomagmatic eruption occurred at the Taal Volcano Main Crater at 02:29 PM on July 21, 2026, lasting three minutes based on seismic, infrasound, and visual observations.

The eruption produced jets of ash and steam-rich plumes that rose 2000 meters above the crater before drifting to the southeast.

Thermal and camera footage from the Main Crater observation stations on Taal Volcano Island captured the volcanic activity.

Alert Level 1 remains in effect over Taal Volcano as monitoring continues and real-time updates are provided on volcanic activity.
