St. Lucie Inlet, Florida – Seven boaters were rescued after their vessel crashed onto rocks just outside the St. Lucie Inlet during a Fourth of July holiday evening on the water.
The stranded boat was located through coordinated efforts from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office Marine, Aviation, and Drone Unit, along with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Video from the rescue operation shows aerial and marine units searching for the vessel after the crash.
Helicopters, boats, and drone support were used to locate the boat and assist in the rescue of all seven occupants.
The boaters were safely removed from the stranded vessel, accounted for, and transported back to Sandsprit Park without injuries.
