Douglas County, Colorado – Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office rescued a group of ducklings after they became trapped inside a storm drain.

The ducklings, nicknamed Huey, Dewey, and Louie along with their siblings, were safely removed and reunited with their family.

Video from the scene shows deputies carefully lifting the birds out of the drain one by one using tools and gentle handling techniques.

As the rescue unfolds, the mother duck waits nearby while the reunited ducklings respond with loud chirping sounds.

The sheriff’s office said the duck family was successfully brought back together following the rescue operation.
