Ordesa National Park, Spain – Video filmed by Guardia Civil shows a dramatic mountain rescue operation on the Anglada-Cerdá route, where two climbers were rescued after physical problems prevented them from continuing.

Guardia Civil mountain rescue specialists from GREIM and the aerial unit from Benasque reached the climbers on a steep cliff face using a helicopter and winch system.

The footage shows rescuers being lowered from the helicopter, reaching the stranded climbers on a narrow ledge, securing them, and lifting them to safety.

The rescued climbers were two Spanish citizens, aged 27 and 28, from Madrid. They were evacuated to Pradera de Ordesa and were able to continue on their own afterward.

The operation involved technical rope work on steep terrain and a coordinated aerial rescue to bring the climbers safely away from the difficult location.
