Gandia, Spain – A woman stranded on a section of a zip line along a via ferrata route was safely rescued during a complex mountain operation involving firefighters and helicopter support.
Helmet-camera and aerial footage shows rescuers working on steep rocky terrain with steel cables crossing the gorge. Teams used ropes, pulleys, and harnesses while the HLC MV6-R helicopter supported the operation nearby.
The rescue involved firefighters from the Valencia Provincial Firefighters Consortium, Gandia personnel, and specialized GERA mountain rescuers, with a doctor on board the helicopter.
Footage captures a rescuer preparing equipment inside the aircraft before the team reaches the cliffside area. Ground crews then safely extracted the woman and assisted her on the rocky terrain before moving her to a secure location.
The woman was transferred to safety in good condition after the successful rescue.
