Dog Pulled Alive From Earthquake Rubble After Five-Hour Rescue In Venezuela

Caraballeda, La Guaira, Venezuela – Rescue teams successfully pulled a dog named Giselle alive from the rubble at Residencial El Palmar after five hours of work.

The healthy dog is now safe with the rescue teams. Officials are asking the owner to come to their teams in the area and prove ownership with photos or videos.

The rescue took place days after the powerful June 24 earthquakes. It is part of the broader international response in one of the hardest-hit areas, where more than 100 buildings collapsed and search operations continue for both people and animals.
