Chantilly / Fairfax County, Virginia, USA – Video filmed by the Fairfax County Police Department shows firefighters and police officers rescuing a driver trapped inside a sinking vehicle after it crashed into a pond near Walney Road and Westfields Boulevard.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department personnel and Fairfax County Police Department officers responded to the scene during the afternoon.

Responders formed a human chain to reach the vehicle and safely bring the woman to shore.

The driver was treated for minor injuries following the rescue.

Officials said the operation demonstrated the teamwork, training, and dedication of Fairfax County first responders.
