Roxas, Palawan, Philippines – Philippine Coast Guard personnel revived a 36-year-old man who nearly drowned along the shoreline of Purok Seaside, Barangay IV, on June 28, 2026.

Video filmed by the Philippine Coast Guard shows the emergency response after two children reported the incident. Responders immediately proceeded to the scene while coordinating with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office for ambulance support.

Upon arrival, Coast Guard personnel found the victim unconscious and immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The lifesaving intervention enabled the man to expel water, regain consciousness, and regain his pulse. He was later transported to the nearest hospital for further treatment.

The successful rescue highlights the Philippine Coast Guard’s Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement Program, which strengthens emergency response capabilities through Basic Life Support training provided by the Coast Guard Nursing Service.

The program equips personnel with CPR skills that allow responders to deliver timely medical assistance during emergencies and help reduce fatalities caused by drowning and other incidents.

The Philippine Coast Guard said it remains committed to protecting lives at sea and in coastal communities through preparedness, professionalism, and public service.
