Caraballeda, La Guaira, Venezuela – Rescue teams have located and successfully extracted 69-year-old Marlene Angulo alive from the rubble in Caraballeda following the powerful June 24 earthquakes.
Access to the trapped woman was difficult, but rescue crews were able to reach her after sustained efforts during the ongoing operation in the devastated area.
Footage filmed by Nayib Bukele shows the moment she was found and later brought out from the debris as teams continued working under challenging conditions.
Once rescued, Marlene reportedly asked for a Coca-Cola. However, medical personnel immediately prioritized her condition and administered intravenous hydration to stabilize her before further care.
She is now receiving medical treatment following the rescue.
The operation is part of the wider response to the earthquakes that struck on June 24, which caused widespread destruction across the region.
Rescue efforts continue as teams search for more survivors in the rubble.
