Caracas, Venezuela – Amid the debris left by powerful earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24, firefighters in Caracas rescued a small dog alive from beneath a collapsed structure in a moment of hope during ongoing recovery efforts.

Rescue teams were working at a collapsed home when they prepared to conclude operations. At that moment, a faint bark alerted them to possible life still trapped beneath the rubble.

Crews returned to the site and carefully searched through the debris. After detecting movement, they located a puppy still alive under the collapsed structure.

Firefighters then carried out careful removal of the rubble, working slowly to avoid further harm. They provided the animal with water before bringing it fully to safety.

Video shows rescuers continuing to clear concrete and debris as the dog is gently pulled free and begins to recover after being trapped.

The rescue took place during widespread destruction caused by the earthquakes, with emergency teams continuing search and rescue operations across affected areas.

Authorities described the dog as a symbol of resilience and hope for both responders and residents in the disaster zone.
