Ross Township, Pennsylvania – Footage from body cameras shows a dramatic wildlife rescue after a young fawn fell over a retaining wall at North Hills High School.

The animal became trapped between a fence and a building and reacted in panic, repeatedly striking the barriers while trying to escape.

Patrol Officer Nathan Roy rapidly moved into position and made a controlled grab to secure the frightened deer. Sergeant Chuberko supported the operation nearby as the officers worked to safely contain the situation.

Onlookers reacted as the rescue unfolded, with cheers breaking out once the fawn was brought under control.

The officers were praised for their response. The original message stated: “Good job to Sgt. Chuberko and Ofc. Roy for rescuing a fawn that went over the side of a retaining wall at the high school. Officer Roy showed the agility, sharp reflexes, and fearlessness of a FIFA World Cup Goaltender with this save!!”

After being secured, the animal was safely prepared for release back into its natural environment.

The incident highlights coordinated emergency response efforts in situations involving wildlife near schools and residential areas, where quick action is required to prevent harm to both animals and responders.
