Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – Mounted officers from the Vancouver Police Department led the Team Canada Fan March through downtown Vancouver as supporters gathered ahead of events at BC Place.

Video filmed by Vancouver Police shows the mounted unit moving in formation along a city street lined with modern high-rise buildings. The horses wear large red-and-white saddle blankets featuring the Canadian maple leaf flag, while one officer carries a full Canadian flag on a pole.

The uniformed officers, wearing helmets and tactical vests marked “POLICE,” guide their horses steadily through the procession. The horses move calmly in formation, with some stepping forward while others pause as the march advances.

Spectators line the sidewalks watching the mounted unit lead the route toward BC Place. The display forms part of FIFA World Cup 2026 fan events in Vancouver, bringing supporters together in the city center.

Officials describe the mounted unit as serving both ceremonial and public safety roles, combining tradition with operational duties during major events.

Authorities also remind the public to give the horses space and not to touch or pet them while they are on duty.
