Portugal Fans Flood Houston Streets Ahead Of World Cup Match

Houston, Texas – A Houston Police officer in a dark uniform was seen monitoring a large and energetic crowd of Portugal supporters moving through the streets.

The group filled the area with movement and noise as fans in red jerseys waved Portugal flags in green, yellow, and red. Many shook scarves, beat a drum, and raised their hands while cheering. Several supporters also held up phones to record the scene.

The gathering took place under a bright blue sky with scattered white clouds. Trees and power lines were visible in the background as the crowd advanced along the route.

Houston Police accompanied the Portugal supporters along the way to NRG Stadium ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup Group K match against Uzbekistan on June 23.

The atmosphere was described as festive, with chants, flag-waving, and drumming as the fans made their way toward the venue.

Portugal later won the match 5-0, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring two goals in what was described as a dominant performance.
